Exam Time Arrangement
(All in NZ time)
• CCC = Part A + Part B
• Part A - 25 MCQs (1 hour): 16:30-17:30
• Part B - Essay (1.5 hours): 20:20-21:50
• CCO = Part A + Part C
• Part A - 25 MCQs (1 hour): 16:30-17:30
• Part C - short answer questions (2 hours): 17:40-19:40
• Uploading Part C (20-30 mins): 19:40-20:10
• CCC + CCO = Part A + Part B + Part C
• Part A - 25 MCQs (1 hour): 16:30-17:30
• Part C - short answer questions (2 hours): 17:40-19:40
• Uploading Part C (20-30 mins): 19:40-20:10
• Part B - Essay (1.5 hours): 20:20-21:50
CCC and CCO Level of Difficulty
• CCC = Part A (75%) + Part B (25%)
Part A (1 hour): 25 multiple choice questions.
Part A is slightly beyond NZ Year 13 curriculum. Ranking is done with part A.
Part B (1.5 hours): Essay question.
• CCO = Part A (40%) + Part C (60%)
Part A (1 hour): 25 multiple-choice questions.
Part C (2 hours) : short answer questions
- Caution: Extremely Challenging.
Part C Level of difficulty is far beyond NZ Year 13 curriculum.
The CCC is aimed at the top 10% of Canadian high school students under 20 years of age taking chemistry.
The CCO is aimed at the top 5% of these students.
