ABOUT SMC FOR TEACHERS

Singapore Math Challenge (SMC) is an international mathematics competition that assesses more than routine calculation. Students apply mathematical knowledge, recognise patterns, reason logically and solve increasingly non-routine problems.

SMC is open-entry with no qualifying round required. It provides an external benchmark for students and schools, with results reported alongside students in the same grade and country/region.

Schools receive access to a coordinator interface to manage entries, track participation and download student results and certificates.

WHY SCHOOLS PARTICIPATE

Evidence of mathematical growth and capability

Support data-informed teaching and planning

Motivate students through recognition and challenge

Enhance your school's academic profile

DIVISIONS AND ELIGIBILITY
